Cabot Mill Antiques Celebrates its 20th Anniversary!
Brunswick, Maine Saturday November 5th and Sunday November 6th, 2016
Cabot Mill Antiques will be celebrating 20 years in business This festive event filled shopping weekend will include; refreshments, presentations, door prizes, and gift certificates.
Located in the beautifully restored historic Fort Andross building on the Androscoggin River at 14 Maine Street in Brunswick Maine. The antique mall is conveniently located close to restaurants including two in the Fort Andross building, Bowdoin College, museums, art studios, shopping, lodging and the Amtrak station.
Cabot Mill Antiques is an antique lover’s heaven, offering a very unique shopping experience. Sun streams in through huge windows, 16-foot ceilings add a sense of grandeur, river views, exposed brick – all add to a wonderful browsing experience. The multi-dealer antique emporium boasts over 160 quality displays, in its 16,000 square foot showroom making it one of the largest antiques destinations in Northern New England. Offering special educational, appraisal and sales events, it is a true destination shop.

Everyone’s favorite independent appraiser, Bruce A. Buxton will be offering free appraisals from 1:00pm to 3:30pm on both Saturday November 5th and Sunday November 6th. (Pre-registration the day of is required.) Limited spots are available so arrive at the shop early, get registered and then browse the showroom floor for those special treasures until show time.
Betsey Telford-Goodwin Antique Quilts Expert and one of the foremost authorities on antique quilt restoration techniques will be presenting the “Sociology and History of the early New England Quilt 1780 to 1890” on Saturday November 5th from 10:30am to 12:00pm.

The Guild of Extraordinary Gentlewomen Present: Tea Dueling Saturday November 5th from 12:00pm To 1:00pm Join us for some hot tea, excitement, frivolity and see what all the fuss is about •What is Tea Dueling you ask? Tea dueling is the art of gracefully dunking a tea biscuit into a "Cup of Brown Joy", soaking it for five seconds, and then lifting it and cleanly "nomming" on it- all without dripping tea, losing biscuit fragments into the tea or on the table, and doing so after your fellow duelist.
Scott Hanson Architectural Historian has extensively researched the mills of the Androscoggin River at Brunswick-Topsham. Scott will give an intriguing historical hour long presentation of
Cabot Mill /Fort Andross. Cabot Mill’s construction, the workers and its impact on the community. Beginning with a PowerPoint presentation, *Followed by a walking tour of Cabot Mill/Fort Andross on Sunday November 6th tour times start at 10:30am and 12:30pm. (Pre-registration the day of is required.) Limited spots will be available for walking tours.
