MADA Monthly Update: February 22nd, 2017 Board Meeting

MADA Monthly Update: February 22nd, 2017 Board Meeting

Happy Spring Everyone This year’s flower show is to be held at Thompson’s Point in Portland from March 29th to April 2nd, 2017. Please, come see MADA’S booth with plenty of spring and garden related antiques to help refresh your home and to find out what the Maine Antiques Dealers Association is all about.
We are always looking for dealers to participate in the Portland Flower Show. If you are interested in having items displayed or to volunteer your time in the booth, please contact Elizabeth DeSimone at 207-646-0505 or email her at edesimone@goosefareantiques.com for more information.
The first Maine Antiques Dealers Association show was in Portland in 1928! In addition to the annual Coastal Maine Antiques Show in Damariscotta the board is diligently investigating possible locations and dates for shows and special events. MADA hopes to make 2017 an exciting, educational, and prosperous year. Please stay tuned for more details. Check back next month and go to www.maineantiques.org for more details as they develop.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tim Gaudet on February 17th, 2017. Tim was a long-time member of MADA and was known for his expertise in 19th century glass. He was born in Bath, ME and eventually taught school there. He will be missed.
The Maine Antiques Dealers Association as always, would like to encourage anyone, member or not, to make use of the Bulletin Board page of our website. This is an amazing FREE tool to advertise any antiques business-related event you are planning. If you would like to utilize this tool please contact Samantha Stufflebeam, sastufflebeamgmail.com or maineantiques2016gmail.com for more information, instructions and help with posting.
If you ARE a member, why not take advantage of MADA’s FREE online Sales Gallery? We will be sponsoring tutorials in the near future for all members new and old, or those needing a refresher, on how to utilize this incredible Sales Gallery.
Coming soon! Free Seminars for MADA Members on how to use and navigate the MADA website, how to use our Gallery for buying and selling antiques, and any other trouble shooting Q&A members may have. If you have any questions regarding the website at any time, please feel free to contact Samantha Stufflebeam for assistance. See our board members page at www.maineantiques.org for contact information.
