Bunker Hill Account In June 1775 Pennsylvania Magazine

[Magazine, Early American.] [American Revolution.] The Pennsylvania Magazine: or American Monthly Museum. For June, 1775. Philadelphia: Printed by R. Aitken. [6], [245] - 290, [2] pp. String tied with both front and rear wrappers present; the paper spine eroded. Occasional foxing, spotting and soiling, most pronounced on wrappers. Map of Boston harbor laid in from another copy; map is tattered and has some surface loss and unartful old repairs; poor, but present.

This issue is replete with significant historic content, including:
• The brief, but historic, report that the Continental Congress appointed Washington as Commander-in-Chief.
• A detailed (two pages) and very contemporary account of the battle of Bunker Hill.
• A two-page eulogy on the death of General Warren at Bunker Hill.

All in all, a remarkable issue of a cornerstone Revolutionary War magazine in as near to as-issued condition as one likely will find.
