Steuben Amethyst to Clear Crystal Bowl, Circa: 1920's

This is an arrestingly beautiful Steuben amethyst gracefully transitioning to clear crystal bowl – shape number 7520. This superbly crafted, hand blown bowl is signed with the acid etched Steuben script signature polished, counter sunk pontil on the base. It should be noted that the signature is partially obscured with the `S' and `T' visible and the `B', `E', `N' muddy but shaped in the manner of the letters.
This exquisite vase was created during the Frederick Carder art glass era of the Steuben Company in the early 1900's, is reminiscent in shape of the legendary Steuben Grotesque Bowl but is larger and boasts eight ribs.

This gorgeous vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs save some very fine wear on the bottom of the base from years of loving display and use. This handsome bowl weighs 4 pounds 3.4 ounces, is 6 inches tall, a commanding 12 ¾ inches wide, 7 ½ inches deep and the base measures 4 by 4 ½ inches.
