Theo Haviland Limoges Hand Painted Serving Tray

This is a gorgeous, hand painted Limoges porcelain rectangular serving tray made by Theo Haviland and clearly back stamped Theo Haviland, Limoges, France with a green under glaze mark used by the firm in 1893 as well as an embossed mark: 8 ½ . This fabulous tray is hand painted in rich colors of green and brown with rose hued highlights spotted along the inside lip of the tray all accented by a gilt rim. The hand painted tray is subtly decorated with clamshells, bits of algae and seaweed.

This exquisite antique Theo Haviland Limoges rectangular tray weighs 13.8 ounces, is a useful 10 ¼ inches long from handle to handle, 7 inches wide and 1 ½ inches tall. This stunning Limoges tray is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is also a hand painted O in green under glaze on the base and is most likely the initial for the person who hand painted the tray.
