Steuben Gold Aurene Bowl Shape Number 2851 – Early 1900’s

This is an arrestingly beautiful example of a Steuben hand blown bowl in an iridescent and glorious gold Aurene with shimmering purple and blue highlighting the interior. This exquisite center bowl is from the Frederick Carder era of Steuben; a company he co-founded and inventor of the Aurene art glass process.

This extremely collectible and stunning gold Aurene bowl is in fabulous condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, repairs and with the gold Aurene brilliant and unmarked. This magnificent Steuben bowl weighs 1 pound 13 ounces, is 4 inches tall and a generous 10 inches in diameter. The base is 3 inches in diameter with a polished pontil and is signed Steuben Aurene with the shape number 2851. This amazing bowl also resounds with a clear bell tone when lightly tapped as testimony to it quality.
